So you are trying to perform a Jio number check but don’t know how. Maybe you just bought a new Jio SIM. Maybe you haven’t used this number in a long time and forgot it. There are many simple ways to check your Jio number. You don’t need any recharge, you don’t need the internet, and you don’t need to download any extra app if you don’t want to. You can also view Jio number and plan details directly. You can check it in a few seconds using some easy tricks.
In this blog, I’m going to show you at least five different ways you can find your number. Each step is very easy to follow, and you can pick the method that works best for you.
The MyJio app is the easiest way to check your jio mobile number. If you have a smartphone and internet, follow these steps:
1. Download the MyJio app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Open the app after it’s installed.
3. The app will ask for permission to read your registered Jio mobile number details.
4. You will now see a screen asking to log in. Tap on “Sign in with SIM.”
5. You don’t have to enter your number or OTP if your Jio SIM is in the same phone. The app will log you in automatically.
6. Once you are inside the Jio app, your Jio number will be displayed right at the top of the home screen. You can use the MyJio app not just to check your Jio prepaid number but also to manage your recharge plans, balance or data plans, check the latest Jio offers, and more.
That’s it. You don’t need to do anything else. Even if you don’t have any balance, the app will still show your number as soon as you open it.
Note: Alternatively, you can follow the same process on the official Jio website to check your Jio number. Once you're logged in, your number will be displayed on the homepage, just like in the MyJio app.

Using USSD is a short code you dial on your phone. It shows a message on the screen.
Follow these steps now. Keep your Jio SIM in the phone and make sure you see network bars.
1. Open the Phone app.
2.Pick the Jio SIM in SIM 1 or SIM 2, depending on which slot it’s inserted in.
3. Dial *1# and press the call button.
4. Wait a few seconds. A pop-up may show your Jio number.
5. If nothing shows, try *2# and press call. This helps when Jio is in SIM slot two.
6. If you still do not see the number, dial *333# and press call. You may see account info. Sometimes the number shows at the top.
This is the best and most reliable way to check your Jio number. It works every single time, even if you don’t have data or balance on your SIM. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Open the Phone app on your mobile.
2. If you use two SIMs, make sure you select the Jio SIM before calling.
3. Dial 1299 from your Jio SIM and press the call button and you will receive an SMS code with your number details.
4. You don’t need to talk to anyone. Just give a missed call and the call will disconnect automatically in a few seconds.
5. Within a few seconds, you will receive an SMS with your Jio details. Including your account balance, Jio number, and plan details.

If the previous methods don’t work for you, you can contact Jio customer care. Their team can quickly help you find your mobile number. This method is simple and works 100% of the time.
1. Open the Phone app on your mobile.
2. If you have two SIMs, select your Jio SIM before calling.
3. Call 199 or 198 (both numbers connect you to Jio customer care).
4. Listen to the automated menu and select the option to talk to a Jio executive.
5. By calling customer care, you speak directly with a Jio representative who can help you.
6. Once you’re connected, simply ask, “Can you please confirm my Jio mobile number?”
7. The executive will ask you to verify a few details, like your name or date of birth linked to the SIM.
8. After verification, they will read out your Jio number.
This is one of the fastest ways to know your Jio number. All you need is another phone (it can be your friend’s or a family member’s phone) where you can make a call.
Here is how you can do it:
1. Insert your Jio SIM into a phone if it’s not already in one.
2. Open the Phone app and dial the number of a friend or family member who is near you.
3. When the call goes through, ask them to check the caller ID on their screen.
4. Your Jio mobile number will be visible on their phone.
5. Write it down immediately or save it in your contacts so you don’t forget again.
Open WhatsApp on your phone.
If you are using your Jio SIM in a JioFi device, you can still find your Jio number easily. Follow these steps carefully:
1. Insert the Jio SIM into your JioFi device and turn it on.
2. Connect your phone to the JioFi Wi-Fi network.
3. Open the MyJio app on your phone. If you don’t have it, download it from the Play Store or App Store.
4. Tap Sign in with OTP and enter the Jio number linked to your JioFi device (if you remember it). If you don’t remember the number, skip to Method 2 below.
5. Once you log in, your Jio number will be displayed on the home screen of the app.
Connect your phone or computer to the JioFi Wi-Fi network.
1. Open any browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and type this address: https://jiofilocalhtml.gen.in/
2. Enter the username and password. (Default username is administrator and password is usually printed on the back of your JioFi device.)
3. Once logged in, go to the Device Details or User Info section.
4. You will see the Jio number linked to your JioFi device.
Extra tip: If you still cannot find your number, remove the Jio SIM from the JioFi device and insert it into any phone. Then, use the 1299 missed call method (explained above) to get the number and all your account details instantly.
If none of the above methods work, you can try these alternatives:
Check the Jio SIM card packet you received while buying the Jio SIM. Your number is usually printed on it.
Look at the purchase receipt or documents you got when you purchased the SIM.
If you have linked your Jio number with any accounts (like bank, apps, etc.), you may find it in their settings or profile sections.
Visit the nearest Jio store with valid ID proof. They can help you find your Jio number quickly.
